Dr Andreas StierwaldResearch Fellow Andreas joined the Industrial Economics team at the Melbourne Institute as a Research Fellow on March 1 2010. He was awarded a PhD from The University of Melbourne for completing a thesis with the title “Heterogeneity in Firm Performance – An Analysis of Large Australian Firms”. Andreas is an applied microeconomist, with interests empirical industrial economics and, in particular, firm performance. His work focuses on innovation related issues, such as the identification of the determinants of innovation and the examination of the effects of innovative activity on productivity and profitability at the firm level.Peer reviewed journalsPalangkaraya, A., A.
