Sung-Hee Jeon commenced at the Melbourne Institute in September 2006. She is currently involved in the Labour Economics and Social Policy research program as a Research Fellow.

She is an applied microeconomist, specializing in the areas of labour economics and health economics. She was awarded Ph.D. in Economics by York University in June 2004 and was a post-doctoral fellow at the Department of Economics and Centre for Health Economics and Policy Analysis in McMaster University in Canada.

Over the years, she developed professional skills in analyzing micro data files. She has a particular interest in the analysis of labour supply of women and has conducted research on the effects of tax and public policies on labour supply.  

Her post-doctoral work focused on physician labour supply and the dynamics of the physician services market in Canada.
