Julia Witt joined the Institute in September 2005 as a Research Fellow in the area of Health Economics. She obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Guelph, Canada in January 2005. Her current research includes the recruitment and retention of doctors and nurses, occupational choices of nursing graduates, discrete choice experiments, measuring the quality of care, and the effects of domestic violence.
