Biography
Milica joined the Melbourne Institute as a Research Fellow in September 2011. She holds a PhD in economics from the University of New South Wales, where she subsequently worked as a post-doctoral research fellow. She received an honours degree in economics from Clark University (USA) in 2003. In her PhD studies, Milica used microeconometric methods to analyse the gender wage gap, earnings inequality, and the effect of war on labour market outcomes in countries in transition in South East Europe. She is currently using HILDA to examine subjective well being among Australian retirees, as well as the relationship between household bargaining and retirement savings.
Research Interests
Labour economics, household economics, the economics of ageing, applied microeconometrics, the economics of transition.
