PhD - Important Dates

Application Deadline for Admission:

1 February of the year of commencement (or any time prior to that)

• Applications can be made at any time BUT,
• due to the coursework component, which begins in Semester One, the Melbourne Institute requires students to commence their PhD program in Semester One (late February).
• Mid-year entry is available only in special circumstances and after discussion with your supervisor.

Application Deadline for Scholarship:

15 September in the year prior to that for which entry is sought if scholarship assistance is required.

Commencement:

Generally, beginning of Semester one.

Semesters 2009

• Semester One: Monday 2 March 2009
• Semester Two: Monday 27 July 2009
